Professor Ricardo Burgos studies the reproduction of endemic fish in the Ecuadorian Amazon for conservation purposes.

Professor Burgos is a teacher and researcher at the Public University of the Amazon in Puyo, Ecuador, whose current work includes the first research about the presence of plastic and microplastic among fishes in the Amazon region of Ecuador and it’s direct effects in the food chain and the community.
